The Cent­re for Pla­ne­ta­ry Health Poli­cy (CPHP) was estab­lished by the Ger­man Cli­ma­te and Health Alli­ance (KLUG) in late 2021 to pro­vi­de sci­en­ti­fi­cal­ly sound advice to poli­ti­cal decis­i­on-makers.

Orga­ni­sa­tio­nal­ly, the CPHP is part of KLUG, but has its own stra­te­gic lea­der­ship. A sci­en­ti­fic advi­so­ry board sup­ports us in terms of con­tent and accom­pa­nies our insti­tu­tio­nal deve­lo­p­ment.

Clo­se coope­ra­ti­on with KLUG crea­tes valuable syn­er­gies – both in terms of con­tent and orga­ni­sa­ti­on. This allows us to pool our exper­ti­se in order to pro­vi­de poli­cy advice that is effec­ti­ve, sci­en­ti­fi­cal­ly sound, prac­ti­cal and for­ward-loo­king.
