Data Privacy

The publisher responsible for the operation of the website cphp-berlin.de is the Centre for Planetary Health Policy (CPHP) / c/o KLUG – Deutsche Allianz Klimawandel und Gesundheit e.V. („we“). In principle, it is possible to visit our website without providing personal data. By using the site and entering personal data, you consent to the collection and use of this data in accordance with this statement. As a matter of principle, this data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is absolutely necessary for the purpose explained. In this case, we will obtain your consent to the transfer beforehand.

1. Webserver and logfiles

Your browser automatically transmits information to our website with every access: The version of your browser program, your operating system used, the IP address of your accessing device, the time of the request, the URL of the requested file or page, if applicable the page from which you reached us via a link (referrer URL) and the result of the request (HTTP status code). This data may be recorded in server log files, which are necessary to check the proper functioning of the web server.

We only store pseudonymised IP addresses of visitors to the website. At the web server level, this is done by storing an IP address 123.123.123.XXX in the log file by default instead of the visitor’s actual IP address, e.g. 123.123.123, where XXX is a random value between 1 and 254. It is no longer possible to establish a personal reference. The log files are automatically deleted after the statutory periods.

The web server is operated by BIOHOST, Bahnhofstr. 52, 35390 Gießen, Germany. Here you can find the data privacy policy of BIOHOST. The commissioning is based on our legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and an order processing contract according to Art. 28 para. 3 p. 1 GDPR.

2. Contact and online registration

When contacting us (e.g. via contact form, online registration, email, telephone or via social media), the user’s details are processed for the purpose of handling the contact request and its processing pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR. The user’s details may be stored in a customer relationship management system („CRM system“) or comparable enquiry organization.

We delete the enquiries if they are no longer necessary. We review the necessity every two years; furthermore, the legal archiving obligations apply.

3. Right to information, correction and deletion

You have the right at any time to free information about your personal data stored by us, its origin and recipients and the purpose of data processing, as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data or to revocation of consent once given to the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time with regard to this and other questions on the subject of personal data.
