Pro­fi­le

Mai­ke Voss was Mana­ging Direc­tor of the Cent­re for Pla­ne­ta­ry Health Poli­cy (CPHP), a think tank foun­ded by the Ger­man Cli­ma­te Chan­ge and Health Alli­ance (KLUG), from Octo­ber 2022 to June 2024. She play­ed a lea­ding role in set­ting up the CPHP and has made a signi­fi­cant con­tri­bu­ti­on to estab­li­shing the young think tank as a rele­vant rese­arch and advi­so­ry insti­tu­ti­on in a very short time sin­ce its foun­da­ti­on. Mai­ke Voss has been a mem­ber of KLUG sin­ce 2020, whe­re she would like to con­ti­nue her vol­un­t­a­ry work.

Befo­re her time with KLUG & CPHP, she was the head of the Glo­bal Health Gover­nan­ce Rese­arch Team at the Ger­man Insti­tu­te for Inter­na­tio­nal and Secu­ri­ty Affairs (Stif­tung Wis­sen­schaft und Poli­tik, SWP). Her rese­arch focu­ses on gover­nan­ce for glo­bal and pla­ne­ta­ry health, sus­tainable deve­lo­p­ment as well as the inter­de­pen­den­ci­es bet­ween health, cli­ma­te and secu­ri­ty poli­cy. She is a foun­ding mem­ber of Women in Glo­bal Health, ser­ved on the Stee­ring Com­mit­tee of the Ger­man Alli­ance for Glo­bal Health Rese­arch 2021–2022, and was appoin­ted to the Lan­cet Com­mis­si­on for Syn­er­gies bet­ween Health Secu­ri­ty, Uni­ver­sal Health Covera­ge and Health Pro­mo­ti­on in 2018. She tea­ches at seve­ral Ger­man uni­ver­si­ties, inclu­ding Bre­men, Bie­le­feld, and Cha­ri­té – Uni­ver­si­täts­me­di­zin Ber­lin, and is a free­lan­ce mode­ra­tor. Befo­re joi­ning SWP, she was a rese­arch asso­cia­te at the Insti­tu­te for Public Health and Nur­sing Rese­arch at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bre­men.
