Thu­rid Dik­men-Bahr has been a rese­arch fel­low in pla­ne­ta­ry health and EU poli­cy at the Cent­re for Pla­ne­ta­ry Health Poli­cy sin­ce June 2026. Pri­or to this, she work­ed for more than five years at the Robert Koch Insti­tu­te (RKI), Germany’s natio­nal public health insti­tu­te.

Most recent­ly, at the RKI, Thu­rid advi­sed the Euro­pean Com­mis­si­on on how to streng­then the part­ner­ship-based approach of the EU Glo­bal Health Stra­tegy in order to pro­mo­te more equi­ta­ble rela­ti­onships in glo­bal health poli­cy. During the COVID-19 pan­de­mic, she was respon­si­ble at the RKI for report­ing to Ger­man decis­i­on-makers on COVID-19 con­tain­ment mea­su­res abroad.
