Profile
Thurid Dikmen-Bahr has been a research fellow in planetary health and EU policy at the Centre for Planetary Health Policy since June 2026. Prior to this, she worked for more than five years at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Germany’s national public health institute.
Most recently, at the RKI, Thurid advised the European Commission on how to strengthen the partnership-based approach of the EU Global Health Strategy in order to promote more equitable relationships in global health policy. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was responsible at the RKI for reporting to German decision-makers on COVID-19 containment measures abroad.
