Hawi Hun­die Mel­ka joi­n­ed the Cent­re for Pla­ne­ta­ry Health Poli­cy (CPHP) as an intern in April 2026. She brings over three years of expe­ri­ence in cli­ni­cal care, nut­ri­ti­on, and public health. Her cur­rent master’s stu­dies at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Bay­reuth focus on the inter­sec­tions of sus­tainable food sys­tems, cli­ma­te chan­ge, and pla­ne­ta­ry health, with a par­ti­cu­lar inte­rest in poli­cy-ori­en­ted approa­ches to impro­ving glo­bal health. At CPHP, she is inte­res­ted in con­tri­bu­ting to evi­dence-based poli­cy solu­ti­ons that pro­mo­te pla­ne­ta­ry health.
