Profile
Katharina Schilcher has been working freelance for the CPHP since October 2026 and, within the project “AAQD implementation in German regions with health sector support”, works at the interface between politics and medicine. They have been engaging intensively with the topic of “planetary health” since 2019, both as a volunteer with “Health For Future” and professionally. In this context, Katharina worked for three years at KliMeG, the Competence Centre for Climate-Resilient Medicine and Healthcare Facilities, and since May 2026 has been leading a project on sustainable and healthy hospital food on behalf of the German Hospital Federation (Deutsche Krankenhausgesellschaft e. V.). As a physician and political scientist, Katharina is interested in the systemic change of circumstances harmful to health and the climate, and is also committed to the sustainable improvement of the German healthcare system.
