Dr. Mirjam Jenny is a decision researcher, science communicator, and networker. Her goal is to empower individuals and organizations at the intersection of science, society, and politics to make evidence-based, risk-competent, and sustainable decisions and to communicate these effectively. Her focus is on climate and health protection, public and planetary health, and science communication.
Dr. Mirjam Jenny is establishing the “Science2Society” division at the University of Erfurt as scientific director of the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour and member of the Chair of Health Communication. She most recently founded and led the Science Communication Project Group at the Robert Koch Institute and supported the communication efforts of the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence in Berlin. She also advises various government and civil society organizations. Her work has been reported on in national and international media. Her research has been recognized with awards including the Otto Hahn Medal from the Max Planck Society.
