Dr. Kim Grütz­ma­cher leads the Depart­ment I 2.4 at the Fede­ral Agen­cy for Natu­re Con­ser­va­ti­on.

Pre­vious­ly, she work­ed as Seni­or Advi­sor One Health / Bio­di­ver­si­ty and Health in the GIZ glo­bal pro­ject “Sup­port to the Inter­na­tio­nal Alli­ance against Health Risks in Wild­life Trade” and as a visi­ting sci­en­tist at the Muse­um of Natu­ral Histo­ry (MfN) / Leib­niz Insti­tu­te for Evo­lu­ti­on and Bio­di­ver­si­ty Rese­arch.

She is a spe­cia­list vete­ri­na­ri­an for wild­life and spe­ci­es con­ser­va­ti­on and com­ple­ted her doc­to­ral stu­dies in bio­me­di­ci­ne at the Dah­lem Rese­arch School and the Robert Koch Insti­tu­te.
