Ange­li­na Tay­lor leads the Office for Cli­ma­te Chan­ge and Health at the Robert Koch Insti­tu­te (RKI), whe­re she works to bridge the gap bet­ween sci­ence, poli­cy and prac­ti­ce in the field of public health. With more than twel­ve years of expe­ri­ence at this inter­face, she focu­ses on trans­la­ting sci­en­ti­fic evi­dence into action – for exam­p­le, by con­tri­bu­ting to natio­nal poli­cy pro­ces­ses and streng­thening inter­sec­to­ral col­la­bo­ra­ti­on on cli­ma­te chan­ge and health.

Befo­re taking on her cur­rent role in 2022, she work­ed at the RKI on anti­mi­cro­bi­al resis­tance, coor­di­na­ting inter­na­tio­nal col­la­bo­ra­ti­ons and advi­sing on stra­te­gic and poli­cy issues. Ear­lier in her care­er in Lon­don, she was invol­ved in local public health plan­ning, con­tri­bu­ted to a health think tank sup­port­ing poli­cy and prac­ti­ce, and con­duc­ted rese­arch on impro­ving natio­nal health ser­vices.

Ange­li­na is also a mem­ber of seve­ral net­works on cli­ma­te chan­ge and health, inclu­ding the Com­mit­tee on Cli­ma­te Chan­ge and Public Health of the Inter­na­tio­nal Asso­cia­ti­on of Natio­nal Public Health Insti­tu­tes. She holds an MSc in Public Health from the Lon­don School of Hygie­ne & Tro­pi­cal Medi­ci­ne and a BSc in Bio­lo­gi­cal Sci­en­ces from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Edin­burgh
